Get Cape. Wear Cape. FLY

Monday, March 29th, 2010

We were lucky to meet and listen to a live performance of Get Cape. Wear Cape. FLY at SXSW.  A truly remarkable singer and great performer.  After the show he stuck around to get a few pictures with Jeffrey.

Currently recording album number three for Atlantic Records UK (to be released sometime in Spring 2010), Get Cape. Wear Cape. FLY is 23 year old Sam Duckworth.  An addict for the live stage and a regular at Glastonbury and SXSW, Sam has also played at Brixton Prison, and outside the Bank Of England.  His music has been featured in popular TV shows such as The OC, and Private Practice.  Sam himself has made guest appearances on the BBC Newsnight and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.  Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly is currently seeking licensing partners for the release of future records (ex UK). source. www.sxsw.com

SXSW 2010

Friday, March 26th, 2010

As we mentioned in a previous post, we were at SXSW festival last week. It was a great experience for all us. The first day we were there we hosted an event were more than 20 bands played. The bands were from all over the world including Ice land, England, and Canada.

One of the bands will be using some of the pictures we took for their next album cover. AWESOME!!! They are Violent Kin from Canada. Some other bands will use them for their official fan pages. Overall it was a great experience and we were able to meet and network with a lot bands. Sadly Abel wasn’t able to make the trip to get you all a highlight video, but be on the look out for some rock music videos in the near future.

Jesus Alexander – Artist

Friday, March 26th, 2010

I had the pleasure of getting to know a great artist from Laredo. He was originally from Texas and then moved to Mexico City for most of his young life. Jesus has been painting since the age of 5. For those interested in learning how to draw or paint, you can visit Alex’s Studio located on Calle Del Norte. His daughter Maru is the instructor at the studio and accepts anyone from the age of 6 and up.
The pictures will be used for an invitation to an exhibition of his paintings. It will be held on April 15. I really enjoyed spending time with another artist and even though we didnt get to talk enough as I would have wished I was really inspired by his passion for painting. I hope that one day I can do the same for a younger generation.
