An engagement video
The Goetzel family was our first photo shoot in Austin, TX. After having to fight off the eight headed monster that is IH-35 traffic, Jeffrey managed to make it up just in time to get some good pictures. Dwayne is a really good friend of mine who I met a few years back during my undergrad while playing basketball at the University’s gym. So naturally we were really excited when the opportunity arose for us to photograph him and his lovely family. Unfortunately Dwayne’s schedule didn’t allow him to stay for the entire shoot, but we were able to get some really good pictures of his wife and oldest daughter, who just recently took up photography as a hobby. If she’s as good behind the camera as she is in front of it, we foresee a very bright future in photography for her.
This past weekend Jeffrey was in Austin for a photo shoot. After the photo shoot we made our way to the best pizza parlor in Austin, TX, Home Slice. While waiting for our table to be called, Jeffrey and I headed over to the patio for a couple of brews. Unfortunately there were no tables open until this kind couple offered to share theirs with us. We enjoyed getting to meet them and were so glad they let us photograph them. Just one of those days you can only experience in Austin.
Last week Jeffrey was able to take some pictures of this really cool couple. For this engagement shoot, Jeffrey really wanted to try something different from his other shoots but at the same place the couple in an environment that really complimented their energy and artistic personalities. After driving around Laredo for a while, Jeffrey and the couple decided on the carnival. After drawing inspiration from John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John’s iconic date in Grease, Jeffrey felt the the pure unadulterated fun the carnival represented and its infinite palette of colors would be the ideal setting for this amazing couple. It wasn’t long before Cassandra and Oscar became the main attraction at the carnival. Instead of flocking to the rides, people we coming over to see the shoot unfold. We’re really looking forward to their wedding day.
As we get closer to wedding season we will be shooting a lot of our engagement sessions within the next few months. Tonight will be one of our first sessions for 2010 and it should be plenty of fun. Im really excited since we will also be shooting video aswell.
Last week I met with Cassandra and Oscar and they were nice enough to drive around town with me to scout for a nice location. It turned out to be great that they tagged along since they had so many ideas I would have not thought of. For tonight we will be shooting mostly at the WBCA Carnival. Both the pictures and video should turn out great!!

I had the pleasure of shooting with this one of kind band a few weeks ago. I had alot of fun hanging out with the band and getting to know a bit about them. I really wish I would have taken my video camera, hopefully there is more shoots to come with Bacchanalian Bliss or maybe even a music video.

Bacchanalian Bliss was formed in December 2007. This band consists of 6 males and 1 female who assembled together in hopes of fighting off the evils of today’s times as the modern version Power Rangers, but in all sadness our hopes seemed unpromising, so we turned to the world of music. Having so many people in this band brings so many different personalities, and influences. With this chaotic mix, many have said this band wouldn’t come together and do anything productive. It has been an extremely busy January for us here at CinedeLaredo.
We have been trying our best to keep you updated with our latest projects but sometimes we do not have enough time to update our blog.
I (jeff) will personally devote Feb., as a time to get up to date with the blog and website..

Kicking off the year with our first band photoshoot. I hope we get booked for many more.
Our next project with Automatic Weekend is going to be a music video. Its still in the early stages of planning
but hopefully we can get it done pretty soon.
Their music is all original. Recently they played for at a private party held for me older brother Rick.
It was a great performance!!! I couldn’t believe these guys were from Laredo.
One of the things I noticed during our photoshoot, is that they are very humble. They seem to have a huge respect for artist in general. I wanted to make sure that I capture that part of them in our photos.
