For the past few weeks I’ve been getting calls from alot of parents who are looking for a less traditional portraits of their children. I love taking pictures of kids, and especially outside of the studio.
Studio pics are great for babies but children and toddlers need to run around and simply be kids. I usually look for a wide open area such as a nearby park that allows for me to just follow them around and snap as I wish. The less they concentrate on the camera guy (me) the more authentic they come out. It just works out better for everyone!!
Athena has a very easy and outgoing personality. She is only two years old, but she can easily carry a conversation with anyone. When I first met her, she asked me for a sip of my Red Bull, LOL. I would’ve shared but it might not have worked out in anyone’s favor. As we arrived to the place she quickly started exploring around. Never did she ever act shy or nervous in front of the camera and instead looked like she was ready for the runway. The photosession took no longer than 45 minutes.
Afterwards Athena’s parents (Ricky and Tanya) treated me to chilis bar and grill!!
