While in my freshmen year in college I had experimented on this technique. Its called painting with light. The concept behind it is that you have to shoot in a place were there is complete darkness and using a flashlight you begin to use it as a brush to expose only what you want exposed. You have to leave your shutter open for as long as you need to paint your talent or subject. This concept is used alot in still subjects.places or things since its hard to keep steady for a long period of time. Anywas for more information search “light painting” in google.
